PAYMENT & CANCELLATION POLICY

A 25% non-refundable deposit will be collected at the time of booking. The remainder of the payment will be due 90 days before the first day of the tour. Payment will be accepted through bank transfer or PayPal. Cancellations made within 90 days of the tour cannot be refunded. Commencement of the tour is dependent on the number of reservations sold; full refunds will be issued in the event of under-booking.

In the event that you have to cancel within 90 days of the tour, we will apply your funds, minus a $250 cancellation fee, to a future tour booked within the next 12 months. 

Cancellations due to medical or family reasons can only be covered by your travel insurance carrier. We strongly advise that you purchase travel insurance to protect yourself in the event that you need to cancel your reservations. No refund will be made for any unused portion of the tour or vacation.

PHOTOGRAPHS

Villaggio Tours reserves the right to use photographs and videos of guests taken during custom tours and vacations in promotional materials without compensation or advance notice. If you desire a specific picture not be used, please contact us and the photo will be removed from promotional materials.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

It is the responsibility of the traveler to obtain passports, visas and other travel documents. Note that in most cases, your passport must be valid for at least three months beyond the period of stay. Please check with your local embassy or consulate or, if you’re traveling from the US, the State Department’s travel website. Villaggio Tours cannot accept responsibility if you are refused access to a country due to improper documentation. 

 

TRAVEL INSURANCE

We urge all our guests to purchase comprehensive travel insurance that includes “cancel for any reason” coverage, including compensation for canceled or delayed flights that may affect your tour. We do not recommend a particular insurer, but you can compare policies and costs at InsureMyTrip.com. If you decide to buy, be sure to read all the fine print and fully understand the coverage.

DISCLAIMER

Villaggio Tours acts as an agent for the traveler with respect to transportation and lodging and exercises every possible care. However, we assume no liability for injury, damage, delay, loss, accident or irregularity in connection with the services of any train, bus, boat or other conveyance used in carrying out the arrangements of the tour. We cannot accept responsibility for losses or additional expenses due to delays, changes or other circumstances, including but not limited to sickness, weather, strikes, war or terrorist acts, quarantines, force majeure or any other causes beyond our control. All such losses and expenses will be borne by the traveler.

Tour guests should be aware that because of issues such as strikes, unforeseen weather conditions and unexpected restaurant or other closings, our daily activities may diverge from the stated itinerary. We’ll turn any challenge into an opportunity to enjoy some unexpected pleasure of Umbria. Any such change in itinerary would not be cause for a refund nor would it constitute grounds for fraud.
